Tarun Stevenson is a John Maxwell certified personal development coach speaker and teacher. Tarun works with individuals and organizations, helping them to identify areas of obstacle and limitation in their growth and through development of leadership and communication skills. And in this episode, Tarun gives you the tools to stay motivated and make sure that your bad five minutes don’t become a bad week or month.
What you can do TODAY to accomplish your goals:
- Learn to reflect on what you’ve been through.
- Instead of focusing on the big end goal, focus on the smaller increments along the way.
Hot Seat Scenario:
Tarun choses to swap places with Person A who is living check to check but spends 2 – 3 hours a day winding down. Tarun would ask himself if he is happy with the work he is doing. If he is unhappy, he would look into what he needs to do to change his situation. Tarun says that living check to check is more about how you are managing your resources. For instance, are you saving or budgeting? Are you paying off your bills? And finally, he would schedule chunks of time into his week that allow him to spend time with people who are important.
Motivational Quote or Mantra:
“Do as much good, to as many people, as often as you can, for as long as you can, wherever you can.” ~John Wesley
